Response Times

Gaming Monitors

Lower response times reduce the chance of seeing visual artefacts.

Pixel response time refers to the time it takes for a pixel to change from one colour to another, the shorter this time the better. Lower response times reduce the chance of seeing visual artefacts like ghosting and blur. Although this is most commonly part of a monitor specification measured in grey-to-grey, the time it takes for a pixel to shift from one shade of grey to another, some manufacturers will display their response times in black-to-white measurements.
